2 Kings 13:15-19
And Elisha said unto him, Take bow and arrows. And he took unto him bow and arrows.  And he said to the king of Israel; Put thine hand upon the bow. And he put his hand upon it: and Elisha put his hands upon the king’s hands. And he said, Open the window eastward. And he opened it. Then Elisha said, Shoot. And he shot. And he said, The arrow of the Lord’s deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from Syria: for thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek, till thou have consumed them.  And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed. And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.” (KJV)
The ‘bow and arrows‘ in the days of Elisha could be seen today as ‘fasting and prayers’. Like the Syrianns in Aphek, there are enemies in our land, in our family, in the Church and even in our lives that must be smitten. The siege is inevitable if they are not totally destroyed.
As we take our bow and arrows, we will not shoot for awhile and stop like the king of Israel erroneously acted. But we will shoot again and again “till every foe is vanquished and Christ is Lord indeed.”
These One Hundred Days of fasting and prayers are days of “the arrow of the Lord’s deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from our enemies: we shalt smite the enemies around us till we have consumed them.
Just as Elisha was sent to the king, God has sent our father-in- the- Lord, Daddy E. A. Adeboye, to the Church to take the arrows and shoot. Let’s take our bow and arrows and shoot continuously to experience VICTORIOUS OVERFLOW over our enemies, this New Year.
Happy New Year – happy overflow.

Redeemed Christian Church of God
You are welcome into His presence.
"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power.· who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. " (Acts10:38).
The presence of Jesus gives birth to good news, testimonies and total freedom.
And, considering the urgent need for divine intervention in our new world in which high standards of demonic activities are clearly noticeable in all facets of human endeavour, it is not by coincidence that our father-in-the-Lord, Daddy E. A. Adeboye, has declared the theme of this year Annual Convention as "JESUS".
Amidst the wicked individuals that have no values for human life, we need someone who would do us well, someone who cares.
Now, when certain sicknesses such as cancer, heart disease, etc. have defied all medical solutions and lives of the loved ones are taken prematurely, we solemnly need the presence of the anointed JESUS to uproot all the plants of diseases from our lives.
This time, when the Nations of the world, families, individuals and the Church are under serious attacks, we need that mighty deliverer - JESUS. The good news for us right now is gloriously stated in Hebrews 13.8: "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever."
As we wait on Him in prayer with all seriousness, this season, we can be sure that JESUS who is now our theme and focus will change our stories to glory by His Mighty Power. Amen.
